Increased triglyceride (TG)-rich lipoproteins and decreased HDL that are implicated in the progression of atherosclerotic vascular diseases, are present in serum samples of patients undergoing haemodialysis (HD) therapy. Therefore, it is important to measure serum TG-rich lipoprotein concentrations to prevent the diseases.
