Testicular microlithiasis is a rare urological condition associated with various entities, including infertility. Our retrospective review was undertaken to determine the incidence and significance of testicular microlithiasis in a select group of infertile men who underwent scrotal duplex ultrasonography to assess palpable scrotal abnormalities. Of the 150 patients 2 (1.3%) had testicular microlithiasis; including 1 who was able to impregnate his wife after varicocelectomy. Testicular microlithiasis in infertile men with palpable scrotal abnormalities is uncommon and it does not necessarily imply a poor prognosis for impregnation.
