A retrospective study involving 20 patients with melanoma with clinically suspicious lymph nodes was conducted to compare the diagnostic validity of fludeoxyglucose F 18 positron emission tomography (PET) and real-time ultrasonography in lymph node metastases of malignant melanoma.
