Different dielectric properties of cancerous tissues are correlated with increased conductance potentially measurable using Electrical Impedance Scanning (EIS). Sonographically based differentiation of lesions in the salivary glands remains difficult. The clinical value of EIS used additionally to Ultrasound was investigated.
