Telomere

Protein involved in telomere replication, length regulation, structure, etc. The telomere is a nucleoprotein structure comprising the terminal section of a eukaryotic chromosome. It has a specialized structure which is replicated by a special process, thereby counteracting the tendency of a chromosome to be shortened during each round of replication.
