Cyclosporin A

Protein binding cyclosporin or protein whose function is inhibited by cyclosporin, e.g. cyclophilins. Cyclosporins are peptides obtained from certain hyphomycetes which have potent immuno-suppressant activity on humoral and cellular systems. Cyclosporin is used in transplant surgery to suppress the immune response.
