TRAF-mediated signal transduction

The intracellular process in which a signal is passed on to downstream components within the cell via a tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factor (TRAF). TRAFs are directly or indirectly recruited to the intracellular domains of cell surface receptors, and engage other signaling proteins to transfer the signal from a cell surface receptor to other intracellular signaling components.
