Note that 'vectorial' is used in the definition in the mathematical and physical sense of pertaining to 'a quantity having direction as well as magnitude, especially as determining the position of one point in space relative to another. Note that 'translocation' is sometimes used in the literature to refer to the entire process of protein import into the nucleus, but in GO refers specifically to the step in which a cargo-carrier protein complex moves through the nuclear pore complex.
