NCI: A rare, aggressive carcinoma of unknown histogenesis, characterized by the presence of undifferentiated malignant cells affecting the mediastinum and other midline organs. It is associated with the t(15;19)(q13;p13.1) translocation that generates the BRD4-NUT fusion oncogene. -- 2005
