NCI: A type of drug used to treat certain types of irritable bowel syndrome and relieve nausea and vomiting. It is a type of antiemetic.,NCI: Any agent that binds to and blocks serotonin (5-HT) type 3 receptors. This group of agents is used to treat nausea, vomiting, and irritable bowel syndrome. Some of the 5-HT3 antagonists also show antipsychotic efficacy.
