NCI: An osteosarcoma usually arising in the metaphysis of long bones. It is characterized by the presence of a cystic architecture with blood-filled spaces. The prognosis is similar to that of conventional osteosarcoma.,NCI: A malignant bone-forming tumor characterized by large spaces filled with blood with or without septa. The roentgenogram typically shows a purely lytic destructive process without matrix mineralization.
