MSH: A liposarcoma containing myxomatous tissue. (Dorland, 27th ed),NCI: A malignant tumor composed of uniform round to oval-shaped primitive nonlipogenic mesenchymal cells and a variable number of small, signet-ring lipoblasts in a prominent myxoid stroma with a characteristic branching vascular pattern. This tumor is part of a spectrum that includes round cell liposarcoma and that is characterized by recurrent cytogenetic aberrations: t(12;16)(q13;p11) and t(12;22)(q13;q12).,NCI: The most common type of liposarcoma. It is composed of round to oval mesenchymal cells, small signet ring lipoblasts, and a rich network of capillaries in a myxoid stroma.
