NCI: A species of obligately aerobic, Gram negative, rod shaped bacteria assigned to the phylum Proteobacteria. This species is motile by single polar flagellum, alpha glucosidase and alkaline phosphatase positive, catalase positive, has pink tinted colonies, and produces acid from galactose, xylose and methanol.
