UMD: Liners designed for use as an inner cover of a hamper. They typically consist of a disposable plastic or fabric bag and are used to keep the hamper clean and to facilitate storage and manipulation of the hamper contents. Large liners are typically used in fixed hampers (which are frequently centrally located on patient floors) for temporary storage of dirty/soiled laundry; smaller liners are typically intended for use in portable units used in isolation procedures or located in patient rooms for temporary storage of contaminated products (e.g., cloth, bandages), minimizing cross-contamination and odor.
