MSH: Large, noncollagenous glycoprotein with antigenic properties. It is localized in the basement membrane lamina lucida and functions to bind epithelial cells to the basement membrane. Evidence suggests that the protein plays a role in tumor invasion.,CSP: major glycoprotein of basement membrane and other extracellular matrix structures; serves as an adhesive, chemoattractant, and cell activator during neurogenesis and other cell growth events.,NCI: A family of basement membrane extracellular basement proteins. Each molecule is composed of 3 nonidentical chains which are arranged in a cross-shaped structure. Laminin binds to type IV collagen, heparan sulfate, and cell surface laminin receptors.
