Primary mediastinal nonseminomatous germ cell tumors (NSGCT) are uncommon neoplasms and clinically and biologically distinct from other germ cell tumors (GCT). We describe the clinical and biologic features of these patients and evaluate the results of treatment during the cisplatin era.
