Continuous spinal anaesthesia (CSA) offers considerable advantages over "single shot" spinal or epidural anaesthesia since it allows titration of anaesthesia using small doses of local anaesthetics (LA). We evaluated the feasibility of CSA using a standard epidural set for extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy (ESWL).
