Rat resident peritoneal macrophages are able to kill DHD K12 TS cancer cells in the presence of endotoxin without previous activation. This effect is inhibited by polymyxin B or hydrocortisone. This effect is not observed when macrophages or cancer cells are preincubated with endotoxin.
