Infantile acropustulosis, a dermatosis first described in 1979, is reviewed on the basis of the additional information provided by the 34 new cases that have appeared in the literature since then. This dermatosis of infancy consists of chronically relapsing, highly pruritic pustules, involving the extremities, chiefly the palms and soles. The etiology is unknown. Sulfones are the only effective form of therapy, but they have many side-effects and their use is only rarely indicated in this benign disease. The differential diagnosis, including many other pustular eruptions of infancy, is discussed in detail.
