Peritoneal dialysis regimens, flow techniques, and prescriptions are presented as drawings depicting intraperitoneal fluid volumes versus time. The following terms are illustrated: (1) continuous, intermittent, and tidal flow techniques; (2) standard intermittent and continuous regimens; (3) alternate prescriptions of continuous ambulatory and continuous cyclic peritoneal dialysis; and (4) intermittent and tidal nightly peritoneal dialysis.
