pubmed:abstractText	Over the last 10 years, the discipline of health intelligence has come into being. This combines analysis, informatics, public health methodology, skills and interpretation. We have come a long way but there remains a long way to go. In particular, a number of challenges for the next 10 years are articulated, namely: the right information at the right time; real-time data; barriers to information access; and knowledge transfer.
