Radiotherapy of the left breast is associated with higher cardiovascular mortality linked to cardiotoxic effect of irradiation. Radiotherapy of inner quadrants can be associated with greater heart irradiation, but no study has evaluated the effect of inner-quadrant irradiation on cardiovascular mortality.
