Anaplastic astrocytomas (AA) and glioblastomas (GB) are the most common malignant gliomas, and despite newly developed drugs and combined treatments, they still have an adverse prognosis. Paclitaxel is a cytotoxic agent with radiosensitizing properties and exerts objective growth inhibition in glioma tumor cells.
