Colombian medical students do not have an effective approach to electronic facilities in situ or at home, in contrast with most of American and European medical programs. Our aim is to help medical students to handle current biomedical data, specifically surgical information, in the benefit of patients, themselves and the community via ICT. The model implemented as a pilot study had a good acceptance amongst undergraduate surgery students and faculty.
