A synthetic analogue of calcitriol, 22-oxacalcitriol (OCT), strongly suppresses parathyroid hormone (PTH) secretion. This study investigated the influence of OCT on PTH secretion and bone metabolism in 12 hemodialysis patients with secondary hyperparathyroidism.
