Specific endothelin A (ET(A))-receptor blockade and ACE inhibition attenuate chronic transplant nephropathy (CTN) in the 'Fisher-to-Lewis' rat model. It is unknown (i) which of both pharmacological interventions attenuates CTN more effectively and (ii) whether combination therapy exerts additive nephroprotection.
