The purpose of the present study was evaluation of the severity of a purulent process by means of a comparison of clinical and other routine methods with the data obtained by LESA 6 (Laser Endoscope Spectroanalyser) in 84 patients with abscesses caused by odontogenic infection. The obtained results make it possible to claim that there is an opportunity to trace dynamic changes in a purulent wound by analyzing fluorescent spectrograms.
