Delivery of specific antibodies or immunoglobulin constructs to the respiratory tract may be useful for prophylaxis or active treatment of local or systemic disorders. Therefore, we evaluated the utility of lipid-based hollow-porous microparticles (PulmoSpheres) as a potential delivery vehicle for immunoglobulins.
