While fire and disaster drills are held regularly at most hospitals, conducting a hostage-taking drill is not. Yet, one hospital has come up with a detailed scenario for such a drill, which is described in this report. And the key ingredients of the drill seem to have been verified by a real-life hostage taking that took place at another hospital at the same time.
