Twelve patients with uni-compartment total knee replacement were followed for a period of 12 to 30 months with an average follow-up of 19 months. Results in 11 out of 12 patients suggest that this operation is an alternative to high tibial osteotomy or hemiarthroplasty in selected patients. Long term end result studies are necessary to evaluate uni-compartment total knee replacement as a durable procedure for the management of knee arthritis.
