To estimate the frequency of and to identify possible risk factors involved with terminating an initial disease modifying antirheumatic drug (DMARD) therapy. We hypothesized that treatment termination depends not only on side effects and inefficacy but also on the therapeutic setting and the health beliefs of the patient.
