Duodenoscopy with transpapillar examination of biliary and pancreatic ducts has become an important branch in diagnosing gastroenterologic diseases. This will almost guarantee more exact information especially concerning indications and technique in diseases of the biliary tract and pancreas. Better results of operative treatment might be expected in future.
