A case of type-I ulnar ray deficiency, combined with postaxial polydactyly of the opposite hand, is described. Heterotopic transfer of the supernumerary finger was performed, in order to improve function in the defective hand and to treat the hexadactyly of the other hand. A combination of these malformations has apparently not previously been reported in the literature.
