In this paper, the authors pay tribute to Jean Martin Charcot in the centenary of his death (16th August 1893), concentrating on his artistic sense and drawing ability. The authors give some examples of the drawings Charcot used to illustrate his Tuesday Lessons at Salpêtrière, together with his highly precise clinical and semiological descriptions.
