Our purpose was to quantify fetoplacental vascular atrial natriuretic peptide receptor subtypes in human pregnancies complicated by intrauterine growth retardation or preeclampsia and to relate these parameters to the fetoplacental vascular impedance as assessed by Doppler velocimetry.
