An alteration of the secretory immune response has been forwarded to explain frequent and chronic mucosal infections in patients with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). The aim of this study was to explore the intestinal immunoglobulin (Ig) secretions in patients with AIDS and their relationships to cryptosporidiosis.
