Gang violence has reached epidemic proportions in Los Angeles and is occurring with increasing frequency in many other US cities. Gang members and innocent bystanders often suffer severe and sometimes fatal injuries in drive-by shootings. We present the case of one such innocent victim and discuss the personal and societal ramifications of drive-by shootings.
