Photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) requires a careful pharmacologic regimen during the postoperative period to reduce corneal haze and refractive myopic regression. Noncorticosteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs limit postablative corneal inflammation without the complications that may occur during corticosteroid treatment.
