In order to establish early recognition of possible myocardial damage during long-term tocolysis with beta-sympathomimetics, the serum myoglobin level was additionally determined along with the CKMB serum level in 65 patients. With one exception, all myoglobin values were within the normal range of 6-85 ng/ml.
