Data were analyzed to estimate WAIS Full Scale IQs from Quick Test scores. Ss were 26 mental health center patients ranging in age from 46 to 78 years (X = 58.46, SD = 8.78). In predicting WAIS Full Scale IQs, Quick Test Form 3 age-corrected and uncorrected scores accounted for 66 and 70% of the variance respectively (p less than .001). Two- and three-variable regression models did not yield meaningful increases in variance. Quick Test Form 3 is recommended when a brief measure of intellectual functioning for an aged clinical population is needed.
