83 patients with a transient ischemic attack have been investigated by computerized tomography. 71 patients had symptoms in the region of the middle cerebral artery, 12 in the basilar region. In 14 patients a hypodense lesion in the CT was found. Two of those patients showed multiple lesions. Two of those patients showed multiple lesions. The lesion affected always the region of the middle cerebral artery. Atrophy mostly of minimal degree was diagnosed in 31 patients.
