In 75% of patients with psoriasis beginning at the head, the psoriatic lesions were preceded by a substantial change in the way of life of these patients, throughout a critical period of life experiences, whereas in 46% of patients with psoriasis starting on the body the lesions were proceeded by continued stress situations arising from fear of failure. 33% of these patients had gone through a critical life event. 39 out of 75 patients interviewed, revealed a psoriasis proceeding from the head. A relaxation and visualisation program as a part of group therapy is described.
