N-(2-chloroethyl)-N-nitrosocarbamoyl derivatives of alpha-melanotropin and gastrin fragments were synthesized by the acylation of the peptides with active esters of N-(2-chloroethyl)-N-nitrosocarbamic acid. These compounds are supposed to be antitumor agents of low toxicity and increased selectivity.
