The effect of hydrocortisone on cell degranulation and histamine release in the presence of specific and non-specific liberators as compared with that of intal was investigated. Experiments were carried out on isolated rat most cells and human basophils. It was found that the stabilizing effect of drugs investigated depends on their concentration, the kind and concentration of histamine liberators and type of the target cells used in experiments.
