When venous bypass is indicated in order to reconstruct the femoral bifurcation, or its branches, it is desirable to revascularise the superficial and deep femoral at the same time. There are three technical possibilities: bifurcated graft, scarf graft, bypass with interfemoral graft. If there is a lack of venous material, the bypass will be mixed: goretex-vein. There are numerous indications for these procedures: obliterative arterial disease with stenosis of the division of the common femoral, repeated of septic surgery of the femoral tripod, aneurysms of traumatic lesions involving the femoral bifurcation.
