Based on the symptoms of oesophageal wall perforation and its sequelae the significance of immediate examination and clinical observation are emphasised. This disease is difficult to diagnose by modern technology in the early stages. Advice is given on the main diagnostic symptoms and the appropriate sequence of examination.
