Hemangiomas of the rib may have confusing plain film findings. These tumors may be single or multiple and may remain stable or increase in size. The CT examinations reveal an expanded cortex and bone destruction with irregular trabeculation. An adjacent soft tissue mass may be present but pleural fluid is characteristically absent.
