Effects of postnatal administration of ethanol upon adult reproductive behavior of female rats was investigated in the two studies reported here. Ethanol, in a nutriment vehicle, was administered by intragastric intubation to avoid confounding effects of underfeeding. Estrous cycles appeared typical in all animals. Treatment groups did not differ in fertility nor with respect to litter sizes or sex ratios of subsequent litters.
