We report two adult patients who presented with bone marrow aplasia and latterly were diagnosed to have acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL). Although the aplastic presentation of ALL in childhood is well documented it has not been previously reported in adult ALL. The mechanism of this presentation is unclear. In one of our patients folate deficiency appears to have been the cause.
