Follow up 30 months after extensive bone resection of mandible with disarticulation of condyle for widespread tumor of angle in a 9 1/2 year old child showed very satisfactory functional and esthetic bone reconstruction. Favorable elements were: conservation of periosteum made possible from results of histology of fresh specimen (showing eosinophil granuloma); the immediate insertion of a temporary prosthesis in strengthened resin to maintain anatomical relations and spontaneous functions.
